5 lovely little things – is it Spring yet?

5 lovely little things badge by Muddling AlongAnother Friday (and another one I’ve had to work…) but perhaps it might be starting to be Spring soon…

Here are a few little lovely things I have tripped over on my way around the internet – put your feet up, grab a cuppa and spend a few minutes having a look at some nice things

Have a lovely weekend

One to watch

Can’t decide if the new google glasses shown here are really cool, if you’ll spend your entire life looking slightly over to one side or if they are a touch too terminator. Suppose it does reduce the risk of having to rummage through all your pockets to try and find your phone…

One to use

Enter a distance into this handy calculator and it will calculate how far it is in sharks (based on the length of a shark in Jaws being 25 feet) – bound to be useful one day…

One to read

Beautiful photographs of wartime farewell kisses – wish I knew the stories behind these snaps

One to pass on

An advert about laundry where a MAN isn’t portrayed as an idiot but a hands on father who just gets on with chores (and has a daughter who is a princess and a sheriff and gets dirty) – I want more adverts like this

One to make

It’s nearly Spring so it must be time to make pretty crochet flowers – I’m going to try my hand at some daffodils and probably a few more layered flowers

  • I’m really not sure about the google glasses. Until they are simple a tiny device that you can fix to a regular pair of glasses I think I’d be too self conscious. I can’t even use the Siri on iPhone without feeling like a plonker! Would love to try crochet flowers. xx

I *think* they are actual glasses – probably Clark Kent style…

Crochet flowers are super simple – need to sort out a virtual crochet lesson

  • Oh wow to that advert – YES! Totally agree. That’s what we need to see more of. Still wound up by the Christmas ‘Mum’s got it in the bag’ type adverts – made me despair!
