Ghostly Halloween chocolatey treats

These look far harder to make than they are – and are great to make with small people, as long as you aren’t a perfectionist… but then who has ever decided what a perfect ghost should look like?

Ghostly Halloween chocolatey treats

200g white cooking chocolate (go for the good stuff or these won’t taste as good as they look)

1 tbsp cooking oil

Small milk chocolate chips

Essential items – lollipop sticks (I got mine from Amazon)

Melt the white chocolate in a bowl in the microwave.  When fully melted stir in the oil.

Drop about a dinner spoon full of chocolate onto a greased baking sheet – use the back of a teaspoon to splodge it into the shape of a ghost (basically up a bit for the head, out at the sides a bit for arms and then out and around a bit for the bottom), pop a lollipop stick onto the bottom half and roll over to ensure it is fully covered so it will stay stuck and then drop on 2 chocolate chips to form the eyes.

When done pop in the fridge for 15 minutes to set.

Peel very, very gently off the baking parchment and pop into little cellophane bags to wow the trick or treaters – if we’re coming to see you this Halloween please act surprised and impressed when we present you with some of these!

If you are dairy free you can now buy dairy free white chocolate buttons from Tesco which are perfect for this

Inspired by Martha Stewart but not as perfect as hers, naturally
