If you watch just one thing today, watch this – Julia Gillard, who I have to say I have never felt particularly drawn to, has taken a stand against the sexism and misogny of her parliamentary colleagues
It is brilliant – not least watching the leader of the opposition gradually slide down in his chair as he faces the barrage of facts
Perhaps all men who send inappropriate text messages, refer to their female colleagues in derogatorary ways and who see us just as a life support system for a uterus should have a long hard look in the mirror and wonder how they’d look if faced with a similar fightback
When a woman makes the same choices as a man it doesn’t make her a witch, barren or in need of being made an honest woman, nor does it make her voice fall silent
