I’m rather impressed how this turned out given the idea came from a scarf pattern that I wondered if it might make a nice throw to curl up in when we got the house back
And as you do I then ended up buying a small stash of wool and setting to work.
I used a 6mm hook which means it grows nice and fast. The rib effect is created by only hooking into the back loop of the row of triples just done
Only problem is that my Mother in Law liked it do much when she saw me hooking away at Christmas that I’ve given it to her so I still need to make us one. Oh and my Mum has asked for one for her birthday
Time to get on with it, just need to finish a monster first…
Time taken – a couple of months of the odd hour here or there
Yarn – Lion Brand Amazing in wildflower (12 balls)
Hook – 6mm (I have discovered Clover soft touch hooks – incredibly comfy to use and they move smoothly through this yarn which snags a bit on bog standard plastic hooks)

oh thumbsup! it’s a triumph, well done you. Lovely lovely xx
That is beautiful
Wow- totally worth the wait: it’s gorgeous, and I love the colours. Well done!
Such a lovely blanket. No wonder people are making requests for their own.
Fabulously impressive!
Wow, this only took you two months? It might’ve taken me all year. It’s inspiring.
