>You know I had a secret. Well…

>… It doesn’t need to be a secret any more!

I can finally admit that I have a brand shiny new job and that this morning I’ve resigned!

Thank you for all your good vibes dear Twitter friends. They did their job and so far the process has been ok. Not unpleasant as I expected and dreaded.

So the next couple of days will be taken up clearing my desk, tidying up some loose ends and meeting with HR and then I’ll be a lady of leisure on gardening leave for a little while.

So what would you do if you suddenly got a break for a couple of months (apart from blogging, of course) – where to go, what to see, who to meet up with?

Come on, inspire me with ideas. Please!

    >Congratulations! Hope the new job is all you want it to be.

I don't think I'm feeling very inspirational, sorry – I think if I had a couple of months off, I would just try and chill as much as possible, see some SAHM friends every now and then, and try and tidy up the house a little.

Whatever you end up doing – enjoy!

    >I don't know is the answer to that! I think I'd like to travel to see white sands and clear turquoise sea, lie by a pool and be waited on.

But I like being at home too!

You've picked a good time for gardening leave. I'd probably do just that – soak up the sun in the garden!

    >Well done! That's fantastic news. However you end up spending the time make sure you have some 'you' time.

Wow, so happy for you – excellent news. I so want to know the details but shall respect your privacy in blog land.
Gardening leave, how luxurious … i'd always be up for a cup of tea, i'd love to meet the lady who has been a tower of support to me so far xxx

    >Fantastic. Goodbye horrid boss. What to do? Well in you case you could use your gardening leave to get in the veggie patch and erm….do some gardening. Enjoy it.

    >That's great! Good for you. My BIL had gardening leave last year and they all went to Hawaii. I was majorly jealous. Enjoy whatever you do!

    >yay. Gardening leave rocks. I would go on holiday with the munchkin, get myself some pampering goodness done (spa, salon, home treat), spend lots of quality time blogging (and watching cbeebies) and I would get out in the garden. Ah, but I can't. Can you do it for me? Well done on the new job (and good riddance old one!).

    >Brilliant! Great timing with the weather and everything. So you must come out with me, do a bit of creative stuff, grow lots of lovely vegetables and read many books.
    You must feel relieved xx

    >Good for you! How brilliant, it's such a great feeling isn't it. You can a few months off without a care in the world./ To be honest I'd just want to spend time with my girls, do a bit of gardening, maybe a spa break or two and possibly a short holiday by a beach somewhere. But I'm quite dull! Hope you have a lovely time whatever you do x

    >Excellent. Congratulations!
You must definitely go out a lot, read, pamper yourself, do that Pilates class (btw, the 1st class is for free!), meet Zoo for lunch and maybe myself for coffee…

    >Oh, yes, I remember the joy of time off with no job and a new job in the wings … not a care or stress in the world.

Be yourself i say 😉 xx
