Happy blog-versary to me – now can I get some sleep please?

I had grand ideas for this post – that I’d do a grand retrospective of my year in blogging, that I’d find a way to suitably mark the occaision.

I can’t.

I’m just too tired.

Babygirl is not sleeping well. She’s feeding every other hour throughout the night. If I go to bed early she just starts the whole thing earlier. I don’t know if it’s a growth spurt, a developmental spurt, if she’s teething, it’s reverse cycling or separation anxiety.

All I know is that I’m incredibly tired and losing the ability to do more than stumble through life.

Work is exhausting and not terribly motivating at the moment. The house is a complete mess. I’ve not put enough thought into what foods to introduce Babygirl to. I can’t face cooking in the evenings. I’ve hundreds of unread posts in my google reader which I’m never going to find time to read. The list of jobs I need to do is growing like a weed.

So yay. I’ve done this for a year. A fairly pants year with some appalling lows but a few highs.

Here are a few of my favourite posts from that year – I hope you like them.

At a crossroads on the Mummy track, is it such a bad thing?

Small moments of perfection

Mummy bloggers are lonely losers?

Not the post I was planning on writing today….

Mummy superpowers

And then there were four!

Can Mummy get her mojo back?

Bonding with your baby – sometimes it isn’t immediate & instinctive

We love pancakes (this ones a vlog!)

Are there some things its better not to know?

    >A whole year – well done. Just read your 'crossroads' post for the first time which got me thinking. Some days I really miss having a career and being 'somebody' beyond a mum, others I'm just thankful that for the moment it's not a juggling act I have to perform.

    >Happy anniversary!
You should go easy on yourself. See all the things you're doing right. You still have a job, a house, a baby. The surface may be sticky, but underneath you're doing fine.
