>Do you wanna join my gang? Calling all technophobes!

>

Ok so here’s a thought, there are lots of posts recently about cracking the Tots100 (something I’ve spectacularly failed to do), about Technorati, about stats and how many readers you should have before you can consider yourself to really be a proper blogger (and how do you work out how many readers you have?).

So is anyone interested in joining a group of technophobe bloggers taking on technology? Of working together to understand better how to use our blogs and how to get all these gadgets installed with the minimum of hair pulling and ranting ?

If you do please leave me a comment below and more importantly let me know what technological bits are baffling you most.

    >Me too, have had many a night panicking because Ive managed to delete my entire blog!

  • Sophie

    >Yes please! I'm really new to this. Think of myself as a fairly quick learner and I think I'm picking up the basic widget-y stuff ok but truthfully have no ideas where to even start getting readers!
Any advice or help would be greatfully received and I'd be really keen on being the 'newbie' in anything you set up- I've found your blog really helpful already!

    >Me too, me too. I can't for the life of me figure out what Technorati actually does, even after reasonable googling. I am ok with adding gadgets etc to the blogs so I can help others with that:) Jen.

    >Me! I don't have a clue. Am starting a new blog for when we get back from Bosnia but don't know where to start. Count me in.

Technophobe? You? You do twitter and everything!

    >Hmmm maybe it's time I finally got off my butt and started Geek Mummy – only been meaning to do it for 2 years 😉

    >Me too please count me in- I am on technorati but no idea why?. I know how to add widgets, know how to track readers (have google analytics) but would love to know how to change the appearance of my blog – yours looks great!

    >I'm not a technophone, but I am struggling to make the move to self hosted at the moment – damn FTP client won't work! And I'm sure there's lots I can learn.

    I'm in!

  • Muddling Along Mummy

    >Wow !!!!

Ok so looks like we have those that know stuff and those that don't – think we might have something here

Watch this space, I'll be back in a bit with something

  • Working Mum

    >I have somehow got into the top 100 and I don't know how (I'm even in another a top ten list somewhere else!). I tried registering with technorati, but it doesn't think my blog exists, I don't use twitter and I don't do all the linking stuff that gets you higher up the index. I think it's just that I've just been around for ages!

I just write what I want and enjoy reading other blogs; I don't think an index really matters and it just leads to your getting tons of e-mails from advertising and marketing companies anyway.

I would like to learn some new skills to use on my blog though, so count me in for that!

    >Please do count me in! I would love to know just how to get past the flipping entry page of technorati or whatever its bloody called!!
