>An unscientific taste test but some rather fun evenings

>

I never knew it but it turns out there is a correct way to taste chocolate.  And I really did consider tasting my samples from Green & Blacks properly but a big envelope full of chocolate was too much for us to resist and we may not have been totally scientific about it.

It also turns out that red wine is an excellent thing to pair with dark chocolate – two of my favourite things turn out to be entirely complimentary which is a wonderful discovery but again may have interfered with the scientific nature of the tasting.

So over the course of the last week we have tasted two chocolates against each other in the evenings whilst enjoying some red wine and our conclusion is that we adore the milk chocolate with extra cocoa (who’d have thought – previously I considered Dairy Milk to be the pinnacle of milky chocolate) and the dark chocolate with cherries which Mr Muddling reckons is the best chocolate combination ever.

This post is sponsored by Green & Black’s who kindly provided me with samples of their chocolate to taste.

    >Tee hee – I have a glorious Green & Blacks goody bag too. I'm trying to photograph something from it before snaffling it, but am already two bars down. Almost ashamed, but the cold weather surely means I'm burning more calories (or, er, laying down more fat) than usual?
