>First trip to London with two

>

We went down to London on Thursday for some pancake fun and incredibly, despite dire warnings to the contrary, I managed to transport two girls there and back ok.

Babygirl snuggled down in the sling and Toddlergirl mostly walked (next time I am definitely not taking the buggy, lightweight it may be but easy to carry when slinging a baby and carrying a bag it is not).

In fact it was a totally fabulous day – I had great fun and more importantly now know that I can manage both on the train and the tube !!!

And you know what, driving home from the train station, singing along to Toddlergirl’s new favourite CD, I realised that actually I might be quite ok at this parenting thing – and that I found it really enjoyable and the girls had enjoyed being with me !

    >What a marvellous day.

Don't be afraid to abandon the buggy for a bit. We ditched it completely when Luke was 18 months and haven't looked back. Although I do have biceps of steel now…. now that Luke is nearly 3 they both walk everywhere automatically. Such a joy to not have to take the buggy anywhere. Only time I miss it, when I need to constrain them in one place, like a post office!

    >Well done you! I've done it with JUST Little Miss about 4 times now and this past trip was the most successful as we were WALKING. Don't imagine I'll always be so fortunate. So, big WOOHOO to you all and it was fab to spend the day with you. We'll have to do it again soon now that you are so confident! ;)

    >What a brave thing! I remember my first time into town on the tram with two kids, and I felt like I'd climbed Mount Everest. And that wans't London. Well done!

    >Well done! Thats wonderful, I know how hard it can be I really struggled hard initially and even now just getting on a bus with the lil guy can seem like the biggest thing in the world. Its great when you feel so good. Your a damn good parent. Just remember that :D

    >Well done you! Took me ages to feel happy getting out and about with my two, and I'm still not very adventurous.

    >Thanks for your comment – just wanted to make sure that if you do that exercise I mentioned you ensure that you suck your tummy in as much as possible – don't let it bulge out – so only do as many as you can with stomach sucked in so that you are developing the deeper core muscles – glad you had a great day in London! >Glad you conquered London and had a good time – I think the thought of travelling is often worse than the deed, although I am yet to stoop to Son's demands and take all 3 of us upstairs on the bus -I just can't quite manage to get the visions of us in a mangled heap at the bottom out of my head!

    >wow you did well…I find it daunting enough with just the 1 :D

    >I'm telling myself if you can do it with two then surely I can do it with one!!
All these great events & meet ups seem to happen in London but I fear the journey .. I know I'll either get on the wrong train or get lost once I finally get to London!!

Thank You for the comment to my Slush Puppie post – I love the pink vaseline , I keep forgetting it has a tint of pink and chucking it on my lips and all around my mouth. I look like a clown!
I can only dream about Elizabeth Arden products now , OH has banned me from buying after charging 60 to the credit card just for some foundation. (I don't even make-up that much! Hehe!) xx
