>Modern proverbs – with two children two hands are not enough

>Ah the things they don’t tell you before you decide to double your number of offspring…

it is actually possible to cuddle one irate toddler at bedtime whilst breastfeeding the baby and you can sit there feeling rather complacent at how you’re managing ok.
What they forget to tell you is that two sleeping children require more than two hands to unload – that you can find yourself with one heavy snoring toddler on one side and one snorfling baby on the other and no way of putting one down without waking it and thereby waking the other. And you have to sit there until your husband comes home … which typically he’s late doing …
Can someone direct me to where the extra set of hands are issued please.
A proverb (from the Latin proverbium), also called a byword or nayword, is a simple and concrete saying popularly known and repeated which expresses a truth, based on common sense or the practical experience of humanity.

    >And some people choose to have more than 2 kids? I reckon one hand per child is needed to stop them getting into trouble… that or some form of lead / reins system.

Sounds like you are doing brilliantly! Can't believe you are still posting with such a young 'un on your hands.
