>Only ‘fat mummies’ object to size zero models

>Karl Lagerfeld has an interesting opinion that the only people who have taken against incredibly thin models are ‘fat mummies’.

I for one wouldn’t want to be a model – not enough food and too much having to stand around looking bored.
But why on earth has Karl decided that its only Mummies who are the problem and why are we all derided as fat?
Given all the pressure new Mums are under to lose the baby weight, to get back in shape and to have a baby that sleep perfectly through at about two days old does he think we REALLY have time to care about high fashion?
And has he had a look in the mirror recently – I may be a Mummy, I may be bigger than I’d ideally like but hey, at least I don’t look like an over preserved ageing trout… who has a thing for stick insects.

I'm new to mummy blogging but there's an award for you over at my blog. Apologies if you've had it already – I don't really know what I'm doing (with awards, motherhood, life in general…)

    >hello! Gawd I agree. I am a mummy, I would say I am slim to average size-not fat by normal standards anyway but I totally object to thin models! Not cos I am a mummy but cos I just don't see the point. Clothes looks better on size 10-12 women who are normal height than 6ft stick insects.
Most women aren't a size 4 and 6ft so why not use models who reflect that??
