>Modern proverbs – sleep, once you get it you feel tireder

>More sleep – the one thing that mothers would gladly give a limb for, or at least this mother would.

Trouble is that one teeny tiny fact they forget to tell you is that if your beloved child has carefully trained you to get up and see to them during the night, the one time they forget to wake up and disturb you, you’ll be there wide awake WAITING for them to wake up and then you’ll totally fail to get back to sleep.
In fact by giving you the option of an uninterrupted night, they have in fact made life worse…
AND it takes several nights for you to relax and get used to the new world order (and then this is usually followed by them choosing a completely new time to wake you and the story starts all over again…)

A proverb (from the Latin proverbium), also called a byword or nayword, is a simple and concrete saying popularly known and repeated which expresses a truth, based on common sense or the practical experience of humanity.

    >Look at you – blogging, posting pictures, being coherent. So tired I sometimes forget what day it is (which is OK until I forget to take the neighbour's daughter to school – whoops!) I've told my husband when both kids start school I'm taking a year off to catch up on all the lost sleep! Only downside is I won't be able to blame the chaos on the kids any more.
Hope the bump is behaving! XX

    >DG – have been trying to order it from Ocado but they seem to be sold out…

MM – LOL at forgetting to take her to school. I'd give an arm for 24 hours in a hotel room on my own – TV, mini bar, room service and uninterrupted sleep !

    VBH – thank you !
