>And I’d like to thank …

>This is a bit late – I meant this to be my 50th post but it got lost in the morass of misery that was the last week or so. Sorry for not doing this sooner…

Anyway, I’ve been incredibly lucky to receive a couple of awards which I have been a bit slack in saying a big thank you for and passing on (sorry, sorry, sorry).

A Lovely Blog award from the very lovely Brit in Bosnia – like her I’m passing this onto blogs that I’ve just discovered (probably several eons after everyone else in the blogsphere).
Chez Spud who has convinced me to not be scared of Mr MAM’s proper camera and to give it a whirl (and who has invented the wonderful grudge book, something everyone needs)
The Noble Savage who writes the kind of thoughtful, incisive pieces on real issues that I’d love to write
Yummy Mammy who despite all of the rubbish that is happening to her still manages to have top totty on her blog to raise the spirits of the rest of us
The Blame Tara meme from Really Rachel – a woman who is single-handedly helping me make my blog look better with her recent posts on how to do various complicated things
And a meme award from the Plate Spinner
Apologies for a bulk onward distribution but these are the people I’d like to pass on the meme’s too
Adventures of a sleepless toddler in the hope that this will help her feel a bit less grey
And 1 more means four because she also talks to her appliances (and shows that its possible to survive with 4 children which reassures me that I might cope with two)
Born Stroppy please read her great blog on the wonders of independent midwives
One of those women because of her incredible energy devoted to great causes
And if you’re still here, here are my replies to the questions !
1. Who is the hottest movie star ?
I have to confess a guilty crush on Richard E. Grant – call me strange but there you are …
2. Apart from your house and your car, what’s the most expensive item you’ve ever bought ?
My wedding dress – a silly amount for a frock I’ve worn once but worth every penny because I think I looked great in it.
3. What’s your most treasured memory ?
It’ll sound mundane but curled up in bed with Mr MAM and Toddlergirl on a Sunday morning – doing nothing but being a family
4. What was the best gift you ever received as a child ?
Books – lots and lots of books from my Great Aunt Beat
5. What’s the biggest mistake you’ve made ?
Think it was big and clever to strip down to my bra in the college bar to raise money for charity … still go red thinking about it
6. 4 words to describe yourself
A mass of contradictions
7. What was your highlight or lowlight of 2009 ?
Highlight – getting pregnant. Lowlight – HG and all the other pregnancy complications
8. Favourite film ?
Monsoon Wedding

9. Tell me one thing I don’t know about you
Up until a couple of years ago I sang with the London Philharmonic Choir – I’ve been on the radio and sung at the Proms

10. If you were a comic book/strip or cartoon character, who would you be?
Mrs Incredible she looks great in her outfit, Mr Incredible is rather hot and she has great children !

    >How fabulous, thank you. Love the Q&A, ah so you're a singer too! I've sung at the Albert Hall, a real highlight.

  • Yummy Mammy

    >Oh lovely, thank you xx

Although it takes me 6 months to getting around to actually doing my part of the post bit

  • Really Rachel

    >Aw, thanks for the lovely comments. You're too kind!
Great answers! I love the four words to describe yourself. Admiring your choral success – I used to be in a choir but never did anything *that* impressive 🙂
    Thanks for taking part!
