>Mid year resolutions

>I’m not a fan of New Year resolutions – why make January any more grim than it already is and why ensure that my birthday at the end of the month is a damp squib because everyone is dieting / not drinking / not spending any money ?

But here we are almost halfway through 2009 (and almost halfway through my pregnancy) and I feel an urge to properly make some resolutions for the rest of the year – so here we go, its not going to change the world but hopefully something small I can achieve … will keep you posted

– hang up my clothes when I take them off / put them in the washing rather than collect a pile in the corner that I need to deal with at a later date

– try and smile at a stranger every day

– do my nails / toenails once a week – pretty toenails are the route to much happiness

– get back into menu planning

– walk more – ideally to or from the train station rather than getting the tube two stops

    >My birthday is the end of January too, so I know how you feel!

Walk more is a good plan, particularly when the tube is so hellish when preggers.

    >Great post! I love the toenails resolution although i think my route to happiness is gonna take more than that:) I am definately going to steal the smile at strangers idea though.

    >I may be as shallow as a puddle but for some reason have painted toenails makes me happy, more so than just popping varnish on the ends of my feet should

A great result from the smiling strategy, I got given a free coffee today in Pret ! Cue an ear-to-ear grin LOL
